Goodnight Timer is a simple and easy to use shutdown timer for Windows. Set the timer start/stop time and start the countdown to shutdown. Choose whether to wakeup computer or not at the end of countdown. No lag time between stop and reboot.
Once you enable the functionality, you’ll be presented with a handy scheduler for shutdown timing, which is very convenient. If you’re not ready to shut down, but would like to prevent your computer from waking up, simply choose to wait until the end of the countdown instead of rebooting.
How to use:
After you’ve opened the application you’ll be presented with a main window as seen in the image below. Make sure to go through the setup first. A graph will represent the volume reduction and the time remaining. A clock can be used to set the time of the countdown.
After you’ve finished setting up the timer, Goodnight Timer will then start counting down. Once the timer has reached zero, you’ll get a text prompt, asking you whether you would like to wake up the computer or not. Note that the sound volume is kept at the level you’ve specified before.
If you choose to reboot or wait until the end of the countdown, you will have the chance to save your work, close any open programs, and start the shutdown procedure. Goodnight Timer uses the.NET Framework to perform its functions. The program needs to be installed on your computer for it to function properly.
