Trying to use one variable to generate Json in ASP.NET MVC 5

I'm really new to C# and ASP.NET. I have never used it until now.
I'm currently working on a MVC web application using C# as a language.
In one of my model classes I have a varible called Age that is getting hold of the current user's age from a view model.
I have the following code to construct the following json.

@Model.BookName
@Model.ReleaseDate

The problem is that @Model is returning an object that represents the data in your view model - it only contains one property, a variable you declared in the view model (I presume).
If you want to serialize a property of the view model, you can use the [JsonProperty] attribute:
